      SB Audience NERO-8MWN400D Midwoofer

       

      The NERO-8MWN400D from SB Audience is a high-performance 8-inch midwoofer built to meet the demands of professional and audiophile-grade loudspeaker systems. It features a 60.6 mm (2.4") copper-clad aluminum bifilar 4-layer voice coil on a fiberglass former, coated with Advanced Polymer Coating (APC) for excellent thermal stability and power handling. Rated for 400W AES and 800W peak, it’s designed to deliver clean, high-SPL performance with low compression.

       

      Its proprietary cone material incorporates manila pulp, delivering stiffness and damping for smooth frequency reproduction from 62 Hz to 8.7 kHz. The extended copper sleeve on the pole piece minimizes inductance and distortion, while the triple-roll surround with damping glue ensures precise excursion control. Housed in a rigid cast aluminum basket and driven by a strong neodymium magnet, the NERO-8MWN400D provides outstanding control and detail across its bandwidth, making it ideal for demanding two-way systems and stage monitors.
