      The SS8-22 is a premium 8" Signature Series subwoofer featuring dual 2-ohm voice coils, engineered for powerful and precise low-frequency reproduction. Ideal for both home theater and car audio applications, this driver combines high excursion, robust construction, and low distortion performance into a compact format.

      The SS8-22 8" subwoofer is part of the Signature Series, designed to deliver deep, clean bass in compact sealed or vented enclosures. With dual 2-ohm voice coils, the SS8-22 allows for flexible wiring options, ideal for high-output custom installations. It features a one-piece aluminum cone for improved rigidity and piston motion, paired with a compliant rubber surround that maintains durability under extreme excursion.

       

      Internally, the motor structure is equipped with a powerful triple-stacked magnet system and triple shorting paths to lower inductance and reduce distortion, ensuring clean and responsive bass. A long-stroke 2.5" 4-layer copper-clad aluminum voice coil (CCAW) delivers a high RMS power rating of 500 watts, and the driver’s Xmax of 17 mm allows it to produce significant output at very low frequencies.

       

      The SS8-22 also features dual spiders for cone control and extensive venting to keep the voice coil cool during demanding use. With a sensitivity of 84.9 dB (2.83V/1m) and a usable frequency range of 20–500 Hz, this subwoofer is built to deliver authoritative bass for both music and cinematic content.
