      Beyma CD-2514Fe-PT Compression Driver

       

      The Beyma CD-2514Fe-PT is a compact yet powerful 1.4” compression driver ideal for high-efficiency loudspeaker designs. It features a 2.5” voice coil made from copper-clad aluminum wire wound on a Nomex former, ensuring reliable thermal and mechanical performance. Rated at 200 W program power above 1.2 kHz, it delivers consistent high output with a remarkable 108.5 dB sensitivity (1W/1m). The driver is built around Beyma’s proprietary Deplocex® patent-pending technology, which improves thermal dissipation and reduces power compression, making it well-suited for demanding PA and professional audio applications. The acoustic design includes an advanced polyester diaphragm and surround optimized via FEM analysis to provide extended frequency response from 0.6 to 20 kHz with minimal distortion. A copper shorting cap ensures lower harmonic distortion and a more linear inductive behavior. The ceramic-based FEM-optimized magnetic assembly produces a strong and efficient flux density of 1.6 T, contributing to the driver’s accurate transient response and clean sound reproduction. Physically, the CD-2514Fe-PT has a 145 mm diameter and a depth of 62.7 mm. It mounts using four M6 threaded holes on a standard 101.6 mm (4 in) circle. Weighing only 3.5 kg, this driver strikes a balance between weight and durability, making it an excellent fit for fixed installations or portable sound systems.
