Beyma 5G40Nd/N low and mid-frequency transducer

The Beyma 5G40Nd/N is a 5-inch transducer developed for high-efficiency midbass applications where compact dimensions and controlled excursion are essential. With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and AES power handling of 100 W (200 W program), it features a 38.1 mm (1.5”) aluminum voice coil wound on a Kapton former. The motor structure includes a neodymium magnet and shorting cap, designed through FEA optimization to reduce harmonic distortion and improve transient response.

Its extended controlled displacement (Xmax ±3 mm) and peak-to-peak excursion of 20 mm before damage ensure reliability even at higher sound pressure levels. The unit offers a frequency response from 150 Hz to 17,000 Hz and is optimized for use in line array configurations or compact professional audio enclosures. With a mounting depth of 72 mm and a net weight of just 1.2 kg, the 5G40Nd/N delivers exceptional performance in a lightweight package, making it an excellent choice for high-performance portable systems and custom speaker builds.
