Denovo Audio AviaTrix-RST | DIY Kit | Components and Cabinets | Pair
This AviaTrix-RST MTM components kit contains the cabinets required to construct the sealed or mass-loaded transmission line version of the MTM AviaTrix-RST speaker project. The crossover for this new version of the best selling Aviatrix MTM has been redesigned by Curt Campbell to use the Dayton Audio RST28F-4 fabric dome tweeter and deliver almost exactly the same sound that made the original Axiatrix speaker design so popular. The sealed version of the AviaTrix-RST uses a compact 0.53 cubic foot enclosure for center channel or as smaller mains—the F3 models below 60 Hz with an F10 of 40 Hz and will integrate well with a subwoofer. The mass-loaded transmission line version will result in an F3 in the mid '40s making it suitable for use even without a subwoofer. The AviaTrix-RST MTM has adequate bass extension and can be used as a stand-alone speaker system for 2-channel music. At the heart of the components kit are two Dayton Audio RST28F-4 1-1/8" silk dome tweeters and four Dayton Audio ND140-8 5-1/4" aluminum cone midbass drivers.
