The Hitmaker 2-way studio monitor kit will deliver the full, balanced, and effortless sound of high-end nearfield monitors for a fraction of the price. Designed by Paul Carmody, this kit is ideal for novice woodworkers. The baffle is precut for the drivers, you just build the enclosure. This kit includes parts to build a single speaker: a pre-cut front baffle, drivers, crossover components, and damping material.

Paul Carmody designed the Hitmakers as a straightforward DIY speaker that any home recording studio owner can assemble and expect great results. The Hitmakers have just enough resolution and detail without becoming fatiguing. Imaging is precise for such a small speaker and the soundstage allows for natural placement of sounds. In addition, the bass extension is deeper than what you get from most nearfield monitors, which might come in handy for some musicians and producers.
Paul chose the drivers for the Hitmaker due to their low distortion and accurate response. The Dayton Audio DA175-8 bass-midwoofer handles the lower octaves, delivering surprising bass response with incredible accuracy. For the top few octaves this kit uses the Peerless by Tymphany BC25TG15-04 1" dome tweeter, which is both accurate and detailed without being harsh.
This kit is ideal for any novice woodworker. The enclosure is very easy to build, you only need to create a box and attach the precut baffle. The solid 3/4" MDF baffle is CNC milled by Denovo Audio to tight tolerances. Recesses for flush mounting the drivers are pre-cut making assembly a snap.
