        NERO-15OBN450D 15" Open Baffle Subwoofer Driver

         

        The NERO-15OBN450D is a high-performance 15-inch subwoofer specifically engineered for open baffle applications. Featuring a low Fs of 25 Hz and a wide frequency range from 25 Hz to 3.8 kHz, it delivers articulate, musical bass with exceptional reach and definition. Its long-stroke design enables a generous 16 mm linear excursion (Xmax) and a mechanical limit of 48 mm, allowing it to move significant air without distortion.

         

        At its core is a 4" copper-clad aluminum wire (CCAW) voice coil with an APC coating, wound on a fiberglass former for thermal and mechanical stability. The open yoke venting (OYV) and flared, vented pole piece ensure ultra-low compression and quiet operation. With a neodymium magnet assembly and an aluminum die-cast basket, the driver remains lightweight yet robust, weighing only 7.3 kg.

         

        The cone is formed from a proprietary paper blend doped with fiberglass and graphene, supported by a triple-roll cloth surround and a constant-height wave spider, combining stiffness and compliance for clean low-end response. The inclusion of an extended copper sleeve minimizes inductance and intermodulation distortion, improving mid-bass clarity.

         

        With a sensitivity of 91 dB (2.83V/1m) and AES power handling of 450W (900W max), the NERO-15OBN450D is a capable solution for audiophiles, DIY enthusiasts, and professionals seeking uncompromised bass in dipole or open baffle systems.
