        The SB Acoustics SB29BNC-C000-4 Dome Tweeter is a high-end tweeter that features a beryllium dome for non-resonant high frequency extension, copper cap on pole piece for reduced voice coil inductance and minimum phase shift, CCAW voice coil for low moving mass, internal pressure equalization and flow resistor for non-resonant coupling of cavities, and long life flexible lead wires.

        SB Acoustics SB29BNC-C000-4 Beryllium Dome Tweeter

         

        The SB Acoustics SB29BNC-C000-4 Dome Tweeter features a beryllium dome. Beryllium is a very stiff and lightweight material that has a high modulus of elasticity and is used in high-end tweeters because it can produce a very accurate sound. The copper cap on pole piece reduces voice coil inductance and minimum phase shift, while the CCAW voice coil reduces moving mass.

         

        The internal pressure equalization and flow resistor are used for non-resonant coupling of cavities, which helps to reduce distortion. Finally, the long life flexible lead wires are used to ensure that the tweeter will last for many years. The tweeter has a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, a sensitivity of 95dB, and a frequency response of 950Hz to 20kHz.
