The miniDSP AMP8 is an 8-channel high-performance Class D amplifier optimized for professional and residential audio applications. Leveraging four ICEpower® 300A2 modules and a robust 1500W ICEpower® switch-mode power supply, the AMP8 delivers 300Wrms/channel into 4Ω and 150Wrms/channel into 8Ω. The amplifier is capable of delivering a peak system power of 2400W, ensuring reliable headroom even under demanding conditions.
Engineered for clarity, it boasts an ultra-low noise floor with a 123dB signal-to-noise ratio and 102dB SINAD, ideal for discerning listeners and critical listening environments. Connectivity is streamlined with 8 balanced XLR inputs, while input impedance is rated at 38kΩ and sensitivity at 2V RMS. The amplifier’s frequency response remains flat from 20Hz to 20kHz (±0.5dB), ensuring faithful reproduction across the audio spectrum.
Additional features include a 12V trigger input/output for seamless integration with external devices and systems, and a USB port for firmware upgrades. Its efficient 2U rackmount chassis (442 x 336 x 90mm) with removable feet makes it suitable for both rack-based and standalone installations.
