Beyma CD-171Fe-PT Compression Driver
The Beyma CD-171Fe-PT is a next-generation 1” high-frequency compression driver designed for accuracy, reliability, and thermal efficiency. Featuring a 1.75” voice coil made of copper-clad aluminum wound on a Kapton former, it supports up to 160 W of program power above 1.2 kHz. The driver maintains high output with a sensitivity of 108 dB (1W/1m), ensuring powerful and articulate sound reproduction. Equipped with Deplocex® patent-pending thermal dissipation technology, the CD-171Fe-PT minimizes power compression while delivering consistent output during demanding use. The diaphragm is made of advanced polyester with FEM-optimized geometry, paired with a copper shorting cap to reduce distortion and enhance linearity. Its ceramic magnetic circuit, also FEM-optimized, delivers 1.6 T of flux density with a Bl factor of 5.4 N/A, providing excellent transient response and sound control over a frequency range of 0.8 to 20 kHz. This compression driver is compact and easy to integrate, with an overall diameter of 120 mm and a depth of 59 mm. Mounting is versatile, featuring three M5 threaded holes (120º apart on a 57 mm circle) and two M5 holes (180º apart on a 76.2 mm circle). Weighing just 2.3 kg, the CD-171Fe-PT is suitable for both fixed installations and touring audio systems where space and weight are important factors.
