      The well-designed SB26CDC-C000-4 tweeter not only matches the SB Acoustics Ceramic woofers aesthetically but also technically. Thanks to the low resonance frequency, linear response and high power handling, this tweeter is ideally suited for the more demanding speaker builds where other tweeters would be easily strained.

       

      Other than that, ceramic domes offer smoothness and harmonic richness unavailable from conventional paper cone material. Ceramic materials also offer significantly higher stiffness numbers and slightly better internal losses than typical metals such as titanium or aluminum. Compared to polymers, paper, and other soft materials, ceramics provide: significantly higher stiffness to weight ratio, more consistent performance over a wide range of temperature and humidity as well as superior immunity to UV light and sunlight, to water and salt water and to combustibility.

      I have used it in a portable DIY system along with two TCP115-8 and a crossover I made at about 2600Hz 12dB with a attenuation and impedance correction L-pad, my first crossover so be gentle. It works though! They sound great. The new order will be use them in car with active crossover as I like them.

      Ersatz eines kaputten Titankalottenhochtöners. Da der alte Hochtöner nicht mehr erhältlich war und die Boxen nur noch sporadisch in einem Nebenraum genutzt werden, war mir ein identischer Klang nicht so sehr wichtig. Die Keramikkalotte funktioniert und mach Krach. Versand sehr gut und schnell. Danke.
