      The PRV Audio D270Ph-S is a professional-grade compression driver designed for high-efficiency midrange and high-frequency reproduction, making it well suited for PA systems, stage monitors, and DIY loudspeaker projects.

      PRV Audio D270Ph-S Professional Compression Driver

       

      The PRV Audio D270Ph-S compression driver is engineered to deliver reliable performance in professional loudspeaker systems. It features a 2” (50 mm) copper voice coil wound on a Kapton former, combined with a phenolic resin diaphragm that provides a balanced tonal character and excellent thermal stability. With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, the driver handles 75 watts of continuous power and up to 150 watts program power, making it suitable for demanding sound reinforcement environments.

       

      Designed around a ferrite magnet structure with a flux density of 1.10 T, the D270Ph-S achieves a high sensitivity rating of 107.5 dB, allowing it to produce strong output even with moderate amplification. The 1” (25.4 mm) exit throat and standard 1-3/8” 18 TPI mounting thread ensure compatibility with a wide range of horns and waveguides. Its frequency response, measured on the WG14-25 horn, spans from 400 Hz to 8 kHz at -10 dB, making it particularly effective for vocal and midrange-focused applications in PA systems and custom DIY designs. 

       

      To support long-term reliability and easy maintenance, we offer a matching replacement diaphragm. The PRV Audio RPD270Ph Replacement Diaphragm allows quick restoration of original performance and extending the service life of the compression driver.
