Peerless by Tymphany DX25TG59-04 1" Fabric Dome Tweeter

This DX family tweeter features a 4 ohm 25 mm ferrofluid-cooled voice coil, a damped silk diaphragm with large surround roll to produce a low resonant frequency, and a ferrite magnet motor which adds heat sinking for power handling capacity. The faceplate features recessed mounting holes to minimize reflections.

It features an integrated waveguide, but additional horn-loading is not typically recommended as it may alter dispersion and frequency response in unintended ways.

How do I mount this tweeter?

The DX25TG59-04 has a standard 104mm faceplate with mounting holes for flush mounting. The shallow depth (23mm) makes it easy to install in most cabinets.

I used it in a two-way DIY speaker with a Dayton Audio 6.5" woofer with a crossover at 850Hz. I chose it because of its low resonant frequency and because of its off-axis response, according to the data sheet. Pros: Very clear, low distortion, great off-axis response, low resonant frequency. Cons: starts to roll off at 17KHz.

Wij hadden kapotte tweeters bij de huisinstallatie van onze kroeg en een 2dehands tweeter van jbl was 180 euro bij Amazon heb toen de Specs doorgenomen en kwam op deze uit voor 32 euro per tweeter was alleen wat moeite om ze passend te maken maar dat lukte uiteindelijk. verschil is echt bizar! Klinkt echt super!

The performance is acceptable for the cost. Warm sound for high frequencies.

Outstanding piece of kit. Looks great and sounds awesome. No matter how far away from them you are there crystal clear clarity reaches out to every part of your room and shows no sign of fade or destortion at top end volume and sound dispersion is equal and sound great with High Def audio tracks. You can't buy new speakers sounding and looking this good with these tweeters at these prices, You'd spend £200 on speakers with this kind of tweet...
