      The Volt VM753 is a horn-loaded 3-inch midrange dome designed to deliver clear and detailed midrange frequencies. It features a 16-ohm impedance and utilizes a lightweight single-layer round wire copper coil that extends slightly longer than the focused magnet gap, allowing for high excursions at the lower end of its operating range. The dome and surround are critically doped to ensure smoothness and consistency of response, while the addition of a second, rear surround maintains coil stability. The unit's FEA-designed magnet system incorporates a substantial ceramic magnet for high efficiency, mounted on a sturdy die-cast aluminum chassis. This driver is engineered for rear mounting and includes M5 threaded inserts for secure installation.

       

      The VM753 is recognized for its high sensitivity (92.5 dB at 2.83V/1m) and can handle a nominal power of 100 watts, making it a robust choice for high-performance audio systems. The unit's frequency range extends from 500 Hz to 4000 Hz, with a free air resonance of 450 Hz, ensuring it can accurately reproduce critical midrange frequencies. With these specifications, the VM753 is a preferred replacement for the discontinued ATC SM75-150, offering a blend of traditional quality and modern engineering for exceptional audio performance.
