Tang Band's W8-2145 full-range driver uses and underhung motor to deliver linear response with minimal 2nd and 3rd order THD. The bamboo fiber reinforced paper cone uses a whizzer cone for improved high frequency and off axis response.

Tang Band W8-2145 8" Paper Cone Full Range Driver 8 Ohm

The W8-2145 full range driver from Tang Band with its bamboo fiber reinforced paper cone can provide incredibly smooth response from 40 to 20,000 Hz. With an underhung motor design, most of the voice coil stays within the magnetic gap for the highest possible control to keep 2nd and 3rd order harmonic distortion at a minimum. The unique whizzer cone with phase plug design allows for better dispersion while increasing high frequency response. This driver is ideally suited for small single driver speaker systems with incredibly smooth and full sound.

Die DHL Lieferung war ein Disaster, nicht an die Tür geliefert, obwohl zu Hause wartend, Selbstabholung im Paketshop, Taxi. Eine Woche unterwegs, Fehlgeleitet.Verpackung außen heil, innen ein Paket beschädigt, Speaker scheint heil zu sein. Aber vielleicht auch ein Schaden der erst später auftritt. Die Aufschrift auf dem Speaker lautet TB Speaker W8-2145 Made in China. Ich war der Meinung Tang Band sei aus Korea. Der Klang ist etwa 20-30% bess...

Dieser Breitbänder ist jeden Cent wert! Betrieben im Open baffle mit zwei GRS 12SW-4 .
Aktiv nur Bass getrennt bei 150 Hz-Tang Band läuft Fullrange.

The Speakers are great, they have a nice flat curve, are super clear, and voices like singing sound great, but I would recommend a nice clear subwoofer with them, because they just dont have any bass. They reproduce low frequencies, but you just cant feel them which is to be excpected from fullrange speakers.

Feinauflösend und sehr ausgewogen, zurzeit habe ich noch einen kleinen Sperrkreis bei 3 KHz, kann aber durchaussein das man den nach längerem einspielen nicht mehr braucht. Tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältniss.

Experience with whizzer cones in the past has been bad.....but the TB is very good. Treble is natural, lush and extended. Much detail from this speaker and a bit harsh between 1-4k at first. Seems to settle after 30 hours. Very pleased & have ordered W8-1772.

Ok, ich habe schon eine Bewertung über dieses Produkt geschrieben. Bin voll zufrieden. Wer "sparsam" selbst bauen will, kann dieses Chassis in ein Horn stecken - das wäre für mich ein nächstes Projekt -, oder in ein halbes und rundes Brett, als Open-Baffle stecken, wie ich es gemacht habe. Etwas weg vonne Wand und die kleine Wohnung hat "Rund-Um-Musik". Gruß, wj ... ach ja, da sind dann noch meine beiden SUB-Woofer als Ripol. Der Breitbä...

Dieses Chassis als Open-Buffle und dazu der Sub-Woofer als Ripol ergibt ein System der einfach offen ist für den Klang. Die Stimmen/Musik sind natürlich im Raum verteilt, nicht metallisch und/oder aufdringlich. Stelle keine Ansprüche an das letzte Quantchen Hifi; bin als Selbstbauer voll zufrieden und kannn dieses System nur empfehlen.
