SEAS Bragi 2-Way MTM Loudspeaker Kit

The Bragi loudspeaker kit features two SEAS U18RNX/P woofers, each equipped with a woven polypropylene Curv cone. This material offers excellent internal damping, resulting in a smooth and extended frequency response. The woofers are designed with a large magnet system and a long, lightweight copper-clad aluminum voice coil, allowing for significant excursion with low distortion. The bullet-shaped phase plug reduces compression and resonance issues, enhancing overall performance.

The high frequencies are handled by the SEAS 27TBCD/GB-DXT tweeter, which incorporates an aluminum/magnesium alloy dome and a unique DXT lens. This design addresses directivity control, off-axis response, and baffle diffraction issues, ensuring consistent performance across a wide listening area. The tweeter's rear chamber is optimally damped, allowing for use with moderately low crossover frequencies.

The crossover network is a symmetrical 2nd order design with a crossover frequency at 2.6 kHz. This configuration aligns the phase of the drivers effectively, providing a smooth transition between the woofers and the tweeter. The simplicity of the crossover contributes to the system's dynamic and detailed sound quality, even at high power levels.
