Seas Prestige 27TDFC - H1189-06 1'' Textile Dome Tweeter

The 27TDFC is a high definition precoated fabric dome tweeter with a wide, soft polymer surround and a rear chamber. Sonotex precoated fabric diaphragm with high consistency and excellent stability against variations in air humidity. Sonomax surround for low resonance and excellent mechanical linearity.

Voice coil windings immersed in magnetic fluid increase short term power handling capacity and reduce the compression at high power levels. Stiff and stable rear chamber with optimal acoustic damping allows the tweeter to be used with moderately low crossover frequencies.

The chassis is precision molded from glass fiber reinforced plastic, and its front design offers optimum radiation conditions.

Great value for the price, with accurate imaging and a smooth, sweet top end. It never becomes harsh and delivers a natural, realistic sound perception. Solidly built, making it ideal for DIY projects or the restoration of vintage speakers.

I think it needs more time for things to fall into place. Otherwise, I cut them at 1.8 kHz. 3rd order and they dance with the Monacor SPH-100C. They will be excellent tweeters!

I am really happy with the purchase of these tweeters. I upgraded my diy speakers according to this project http://www.audioweb.cz/viewtopic.php?id=2748 The change was impressive in comparison to Monacor DT-300. The reproduction of high spectrum is on another level. There's no more lack of hi-hat and cymbals in records. I was also surprised by the space and localisation of instruments the speakers are now capable of.
