Scan-Speak Gold Series 16W/4538G05 Car Mid-range Woofer

The Scan-Speak Gold Series 16W/4538G05 is a high-end 6.5" woofer that is designed for automotive use. It features a number of innovative technologies that make it capable of delivering outstanding sound quality.

One of the most notable features is its sandwich cone. This cone is made up of a sliced paper membrane that is bonded to a rearside polycarbonate membrane. This unique construction provides the cone with a high degree of rigidity and damping, which helps to suppress cone breakup modes and improve overall sound quality.

The 16W/4538G05 also features a symmetrical drive motor system. This system uses a pair of magnets that are arranged symmetrically around the voice coil. This helps to improve the woofer's linearity and reduce distortion.

The Woofer is also equipped with a low-damping SBR rubber surround. This surround provides the woofer with a smooth, linear response and helps to reduce distortion. It's finished in a black anodized aluminium chassis. This chassis is both lightweight and strong, and it helps to protect the woofer from damage.
