      SB Acoustics SB17NRX2L35-8 6" Midwoofer

       

      The SB Acoustics SB17NRX2L35-8 is a 6-inch midwoofer designed for high-fidelity audio applications. It features a vented cast aluminum chassis that enhances rigidity while minimizing air compression. At the heart of this driver lies a proprietary cone made of natural fibers, manufactured in-house for consistency and sonic accuracy. Its low-damping rubber surround ensures excellent transient behavior, and the non-conductive fiberglass voice coil former helps minimize damping for increased efficiency. The motor structure is built around a large magnet with an extended copper sleeve on the pole piece, which lowers distortion and improves linearity. Additional features such as a vented coil former, vented pole piece, and long-life silver lead wires contribute to both performance and durability. The SB17NRX2L35-8 offers a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, a sensitivity of 89 dB (2.83 V / 1 m), and a free air resonance of 37.8 Hz. With a linear coil travel of 9.6 mm (peak-to-peak) and rated power handling of 50 W, this driver is ideal for both two-way systems and dedicated midrange applications where transparency and low coloration are essential.
