      The SB Acoustics ARA TX is an audiophile-grade, 2-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker kit designed to bring professional-level performance into the DIY audio realm. Featuring state-of-the-art TeXtreme® drivers, the kit includes the acclaimed SATORI MW16TX-4 midwoofer for pristine midrange and tight, well-extended bass, while the SATORI TW29TXN-8 tweeter delivers exceptional clarity and high-frequency resolution.

       

      The speaker cabinet features a carefully engineered faceted baffle design that minimizes high-frequency diffraction, enhancing stereo imaging and producing a wide, natural soundstage. The 7° backward-leaning cabinet ensures time alignment between the drivers for superior phase coherence. With a bass reflex design tuned to 36.5 Hz, the ARA TX achieves impressive low-end performance despite its compact size.

       

      The ARA TX kit comes with open-source construction plans, giving DIY enthusiasts the freedom to customize and assemble the crossover components. With a frequency response of 45 Hz to 32,000 Hz, a sensitivity of 87 dB, and a 4-ohm impedance, the ARA TX pairs perfectly with amplifiers rated from 40 to 150 watts.
