      PRV Audio 8MB450 v2 Professional Low Frequency Driver

       

      The PRV Audio 8MB450 v2 is an 8-inch low frequency driver optimized for midbass clarity and efficiency in multi-way speaker systems. With a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and a sensitivity of 93.5 dB at 2.83V/1m, it delivers impactful performance even in lower-powered setups. It features a 2” CCAW voice coil wound on a Kapton former for superior heat dissipation and long-term durability. The recommended high-pass crossover is set at 120 Hz, ensuring the driver performs efficiently within its designed frequency range of 75 Hz to 7,500 Hz.

       

      The stamped steel frame maintains structural integrity while minimizing unwanted resonances. Additional Thiele-Small parameters include a Qts of 1.05, Vas of 18.18L, and a mechanical Xmax of 4.5 mm. These specs, combined with a strong BL factor of 7.37 Tm and low inductance (0.25 mH at 1 kHz), offer precise midbass reproduction and fast transient response. At a net weight of 4.10 lbs (1.86 kg), it is well-suited for mobile or fixed installations where weight and performance are both priorities.
