Continuing the Legacy

For years the LP-2020A+ dominated the mini amp arena, but due to the scarcity of the Tripath TA2020 amp chip, Lepai is phasing out this very popular amp. However, emerging from its decline is the Lepai LP-2020TI. Identical in form and function this little amplifier has the same set of inputs and the same front panel controls, but where it differs is the insides, and it is truly remarkable what the engineers at Lepai have created in the LP-2020TI.

Making a name for itself

Fitted with the Texas Instruments TPA3118 Class D amplifier chip, this mini amp produces efficient audio, with extremely low distortion, and it runs cool while doing it. A 12 VDC, 3A power supply is included with this amp, which is ample power to drive almost any speaker. But one amazing feature of the LP-2020TI is its ability to run on a wide range of voltages; 4.5-24 VDC. That means you can run this amp in a portable application using only 3 AA batteries or you can upgrade your power supply to maximize its full potential.

All the features you need

Simple and straightforward, this amp is easy to use. To get started, just plug in your power supply, connect speaker wire between your speakers and the spring loaded terminals on the back panel, connect a source device using either the 3.5 mm AUX input or stereo RCA jacks, turn it on and rock out. Customize your sound using the bass and treble controls or push the "Direct" button to bypass this circuit for a more pure listening experience. The oversized front knob controls the volume smoothly and is encircled by an array of blue light. Mounting tabs on the sides of this amp make it easy to securely mount this amp into turnkey DIY projects. Enjoy great sounding, easy-to-operate audio and more features than you would expect in an amp in this price range with the Lepai LP2020TI.

Please Note: The included power supply is capable of driving this amp at 2 x 15 watts per channel. To realize the full potential of this amp (>20 watts per channel), we recommend a power supply that is capable of producing 60 watts of total output.

I still can't believe how much value I got with this little amp! I'm powering two three-way self-built reference monitors with it, (8" mid-woofer, 2" mid-range dome, 1" dome tweeter, around 80w RMS 6 ohm each...) and I can get plenty SPL in my 5x4m room without any distortion. Just crazy...

Order came within a couple of days and was really well packaged so no chance of damage to my unit. Unit is utterly great, bought it for my T.V. speakers and is full of punch, bottom end and packs a wallop in volume without high end or bottom end crackle. I would recommend this to everyone it is small and light and really deceivingly good. Sound Imports were great, easy to order and like I stated earlier we'll packed and came really quickly....

Es un buen amplificador: sencillo y pequeño. Es el segundo que tengo, el primero funciona perfectamente, y al buscarlo descubrí modelos copiados que aprovechan la imagen y pretenden engañar con nombre casi igual: mucho cuidado con las copias

Ziet er prima uit, doet wat het moet doen en het klinkt ook nog eens goed. In combinatie met 2 bookshelf speakers heb je met deze simpele en betaalbare versterker goed geluid. Aangeschaft op advies van Soundimports en erg tevreden mee!
