      The Khadas Tone2 Black DAC features the highly regarded ESS ES9038Q2M DAC, known for delivering precise and high-resolution audio. Combined with the XMOS XU208 processor, the Tone2 supports audio formats up to 32bit/768kHz and DSD512, ensuring exceptional sound quality. The patented balanced RCA output is a significant enhancement, providing a 3-pin interface that improves audio clarity and compatibility with various high-end audio equipment.

       

      The DAC offers multiple input options, including USB, S/PDIF, and Bluetooth (with the optional BT Magic module), making it versatile for different audio sources. Outputs include both balanced and single-ended RCA, allowing seamless integration into various audio setups. The total harmonic distortion (THD+N) is impressively low, at -118dB for balanced RCA and -116dB for single-ended RCA, ensuring clean and accurate sound reproduction.

       

      The Tone2 Black DAC is designed with a robust aluminum enclosure that acts as a heatsink, coupled with a silicone footpad for stability. The hybrid digital/analog volume control knob, featuring an ALPS encoder, provides precise control over the audio output.
