      The Jantzen Audio Silver Z-Cap is a meticulously crafted film/foil capacitor designed to elevate the performance of high-end passive speakers and tube/power amplifiers. The capacitor features a metalized polypropylene double-layer construction, known as "Super MKP Capacitor," that consists of bifilar extended metalized foil in a double foil lane configuration. This specialized construction requires four times the foil of standard capacitors and allows two capacitors to be housed in a single unit, operating in series. With its pure silver leads, the Silver Z-Cap offers a unique sonic quality slightly different from copper leads, making it highly recommended for tweeters and mid-range applications. The 12 µF capacitance comes with a remarkable ±2% tolerance, ensuring accurate performance. The capacitor's dielectric absorption factor is less than 0.5% at 20°C, and it possesses an extremely low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and self-inductance of 0 nH, which contribute to its premium audio clarity. Its robust construction includes a non-inductive zinc thermally sprayed extended film with a silver plastic tape wrapped black resin, all sealed within an anodized aluminum tube. This design negates the need for dielectric fluid, eliminating risks like evaporation or leakage, enhancing longevity and maintaining quality. The Silver Z-Cap operates within a temperature range of -55°C to +85°C and has an insulation resistance greater than 100.000 MΩ at 20°C, making it a durable and reliable choice for audiophiles seeking the finest nuances in sound reproduction.
