      The Jantzen Audio 000-5420 is an iron core coil meticulously engineered for use in crossover networks within loudspeaker systems. Crafting the coil with a Permite core and discs, along with high-purity 18 AWG copper wire, ensures minimal electrical resistance and inductance at 1.35mH with a precise tolerance of 3%. Its exceptionally low direct current resistance (DCR) of just 0.21 ohms means that the driver's damping factor remains virtually unaffected, which is crucial for maintaining efficiency and sound quality. Unlike ferrite core alternatives, the Permite core of this coil greatly reduces hysteresis and, consequently, distortion, resulting in clearer and more accurate sound reproduction.
