      GRS 8SMP-4 Surface Mount Woofer

       

      The GRS 8SMP-4 is an 8" poly cone woofer with 4-ohm impedance, optimized for surface-mount applications where compact form factor meets high-performance audio. Featuring a vented motor design, aluminum voice coil former, and copper cap, this driver is engineered to maintain thermal and mechanical stability under continuous use. With a usable frequency range of 30 Hz to 1,500 Hz and 60 watts RMS power handling, it is well-suited for both full-range and midbass roles in two-way or compact subwoofer configurations. A Vas of 37.6 liters and a 116 cm³ displacement volume (Vd) contribute to excellent low-frequency capability. The high sensitivity of 91.7 dB at 2.83V/1m ensures punchy performance, even when used with modest amplification. Ideal for DIY loudspeaker projects or shallow cabinet designs where performance cannot be compromised.
