      4SMP-8 4" Surface-Mount Poly Cone Bass-Midwoofer

       

      The 4SMP-8 is a 4-inch surface-mount woofer engineered for small-format loudspeaker systems and custom audio installations. Featuring a damped polypropylene cone with a rubber surround, it provides reliable and natural response from 50 Hz up to 6,000 Hz, making it suitable for both bass-mid duties and wideband use in 2-way designs. Its shallow, low-profile frame allows easy integration into flush-mount enclosures, while the vented pole piece and copper cap work to reduce thermal compression and distortion. The 26 mm aluminum voice coil former ensures heat is rapidly dissipated, maintaining stability under continuous loads. An integrated foam gasket supports an airtight seal in surface-mount applications. With a sensitivity of 84.4 dB (2.83V/1m), Xmax of 4 mm, and 30 W RMS power handling, the 4SMP-8 is a versatile driver offering solid output and control in installations where space is limited and sound quality is essential.
