Preserve the clarity of your classic speakers with these economical units, or add smooth highs to your affordable speaker project with this basic unit. It’s a lot of bang for the buck!

The round faceplate of the 1TD1-8 fits the cutouts for most classic dome tweeters, while its shape reduces diffraction, preserving excellent on-axis response and detail. The 1" voice coil handles plenty of power, and the ferrite magnet assembly provides plenty of force for the lightweight dome, for dynamic reproduction. The 8-ohm impedance makes it compatible with most existing crossovers.

I didn't believe such a cheap tweeter could put out such a wide frequency range. After adding a crossover the highs became crystal clear and lively. I found it began to distort slightly at it maximum volume but that is expected and is way above average listening volume and can be easily tuned down.
