The versatile 12SW-4HE 12” high excursion subwoofer from GRS is designed to produce excellent low frequency extension in a variety of designs. Suitable for both sealed and vented enclosures, this driver the ideal replacement or upgrade for your existing subwoofers with worn out or blown drivers. Featuring extensive venting, rubber surround, high temperature voice coil, low Fs, and 12.5 mm of excursion the 12SW-4HE is built for remarkable bass response on a budget.

GRS 12SW-4HE 12" Paper Cone Rubber Surround High Excursion Subwoofer 4 Ohm

Engineered for extended low frequency response and flexibility, the 12SW-4HE 12” high excursion subwoofer from GRS is an ideal replacement driver for existing subwoofer systems or an excellent choice for new economical designs. Capable of producing powerful bass response in both sealed and vented designs, the 12SW-4HE is suitable as a drop-in replacement for most existing 12” subwoofers. The rigid paper cone is supported by a large diameter spider and rubber surround to keep excursion linear while providing reliable performance. An extended frame and bumped back plate allow ample mechanical clearance to avoid damage when driven to high excursion. With a high temperature 2” voice coil wound on a thick aluminum former the 12SW-4HE can comfortably handle up to 250 watts RMS of power. Extensive venting through the frame, pole piece, and magnetic gap dissipates excess heat to keep power compression to a minimum, even when driven hard for long periods. Capable of incredible low frequency extension, the GRS 12SW-4HE is the perfect driver for true bass on a budget.

Estoy entusiasmado por la compra del subwoofer GRS 12SW-4HE, estoy terminando de fabricar el cajón donde va ubicado y espero que tenga tan buen resultado como sus características y especificaciones, es un poco bajo de SPL 84dB pero tiene otras condiciones muy buenas como Fs que tiene un rango de 24Hz y su Xmax de 12'5mm , su rango de respuesta de 4ohmios y su potencia lo hacen especial. Tengo ganas de oírlo. Muchas gracias . Decir que he encon...

Habe meinen alten Subwoofer- Tieftöner ersetzt. und bin vom Ergebnis angenehm überrascht. Der Tieftöner ist impulsiiv und klingt ordentlicch. Er könnte vom Tiefgang etwas besser sein, jedoch liefert er für diesen Preis eine ordenliche Vorstellung.

Built the sub in a 110L ported enclosure tuned to 22Hz, and it easily goes down to 20Hz with barely any loss in volume (especially when paired with a DSP or EQ). High excursion and volume with minimal distortion, for the price, it's a beast!

This subwoofer is the best you can get for the price. I build a custom vented box of 105L with a 220cm2 vent tuned to 25hz and it is amazing. The amout of bass this subwoofer can create (30hz@100db) is crazy, definitely seen the cheap price. I would recommend this to everyone

A good budget speaker that handles low frequensies well. In my flat and with my 4ft^3 20Hz vented box it goes rather easily under 20Hz. I don't listen to music at high volume so don't know how it handles loud sounds.

To be honest its a nice subwoofer. But.. As advertised it should go as low as mid 20s, not in real life. It doesn't play anything below 30. Also it has some distortion when pushed well! Easy to tune.
