Excellent value for money exciter. Using four connected in series-parallel per 500x330x25mm high density EPS plate, and get very clear and loud sound. Can get to unbearable levels, and had them running it really loud with a 90Hz HPF for a few tracks and they didn't event get warm to the touch.

Very nice exciter. Work smoothly on a ceiling tile.
However, the sticking system is not very convenient as it is very hard to separate it from the protective beans.

In an earlier review I said that I was impressed by the quality and performance of the Dayton exciters and that I would certainly be back for more. I was. I bought another four. Experiments in DML continue and, as with the Terminator - I'll be back.

I am currently working on a pair of DML speakers and have mounted 2 exciters in series on each panel. The panels are high density insulation board, 25 mm thick. The sound is exceptionally clear and crisp, and very spacious - I think that is the word I would use to best describe it. The sound is sommewhat lacking in bass, but this was expected. Dit is een prima exciter voorlal voor het midden en hoog. Het is belangrijk deze exciter te bevestigen middels het frame met de vier gaten. I try it on EPS, plain board without shaping or sand, hold exciter in hand and move around and witout sticking to board . Didn't expect to sound that good, it really surprise me, in a good way. And this exciter is the cheapiest. How is the sound of expansive ones?

Sounds good, easy to mount with selfadhesive tape. It is not for absolutely hi end but a possibility to build a practicably invisible speakers. Easy to build and cheap with a-ha effect

Ibought two of them: all the double-sided adhesive immediately detached from the driver by removing the protective paper. The other one, on the other hand, came off after a few minutes from the smooth surface on which it was attached. I also noticed some vibrations and distortions at a rather low volume.

For such a tiny thing the sound is quite amazing. The units are well constructed and work just fine. We are still trying to find the most suitable mounting material, we have tried two, one was rubbish. We will get there.

Hallo mensen, ik ben zeer tevreden met deze exciter, heb hem geplakt op een stuk perspex en krijg goede kwaliteit geluid. Ik heb geen speakers in huis vind dat lelijk en neemt plek in. Met deze "speakers" heb je wel een bass shaker nodig voor de lage tonen want hij de exciter begint pas bij 100Hz te klinken.

Je ziet en voelt de kwaliteit van deze exciter. Op basis van een aantal Youtube video's heb ik deze uitgekozen. Snelle levering van SoundImports. Perfect verpakt en super netjes dat je maar liefst 45 dagen retourrecht hebt.

Used these to create 4 30mm XPS panels which i run in series to create a stereo set up. The sound comming from the panels is really clear but the response is not flat out of the bos. I fixed this by measuring it with Room Equalizer Wizard (REW) and importing the calculated EQ into a minidsp 2x4 HD (or EqualizerAPO on the pc). There are guides on how to do this online. With these ajustments a have a very flat respone, resulting in a really clear ...

One remark is that a heavier wire can pull on the exiter causing it to vibrate and resonate. Fixed with lighter wire or taping the wire to the wall behind it. It's a real bargain iff you want to put some effort into tuning them!

Snelle levering. Jammer dat PostNL wat leveringsproblemen in België had.
Snel twee platen polystyreen gehaald en er twee per plaat volgens 2/5 3/5 opgeplakt, en ... Totaal verbaast dat het zo simpel is om zo'n geluid uit een isolatieplaat te krijgen. Lang leve de bouwmarkt. Weg met de elektrostaten. Dit is veel leuker. Klinkt heel helder met een goede definitie. Mis wat laag maar ach, je kan niet alles krijgen voor 60 euro.

Fantastic little exciters! I am mounting them in a custom retro game cabinet and the tests so far have been incredible. Placement is the key so I recommend reading the technical specification to get a good idea for location on the material you have chosen. Also be careful with the material -- you will be surprised what makes a good audio conductor for these babies :)

These exciters are really nice to experiment with. Just wiring them with a cheap radio and trying out how various materials and objects sound is fascinating. They also output suprisingly good audio for the price if combined with some types of cupboard-doors for example. For testing materials the exciters can be held firmly onto the surface instead of using the tape. The quality of some peaks can suffer but it is much quicker and more convenient. ...

het werkt maar een teveel aan middentonen, dus eigenlijk een mid-range.
eerst gemonteerd op een 40x62 cm isolatieplaat gemonteerd, 80x125 is al wat aanvaardbaar.
misschien recht te trekken met een equaliser en subwoofer
als ik er nog een koop zal het met een groter vermogen zijn

Verrassend genoeg komt er redelijk goed geluid uit de kartonnen doos waarin het op gestuurd was. De tuin stoel van IKEA was toch wel leuk en posi...

Saw the Tech Ingredients video on Youtube, ordered four of these and followed all the guidelines outlined in the video. I'm satisfied with the product, it works, but I'm greatly dissapointed in the sound coming from my 30mm XPS board..
