      Beyma CD-314Fe Compression Driver

       

      The Beyma CD-314Fe is a next-generation high-output compression driver built for professional audio systems requiring clarity and reliability at high sound pressure levels. With a 1.4-inch throat and a large 3-inch voice coil wound in copper-clad aluminum on a Nomex former, it offers exceptional thermal performance and power handling. This model delivers 260 W of program power above 1.2 kHz and features a sensitivity of 109 dB (1W/1m), ensuring excellent projection and detail. The titanium dome and surround, optimized through finite element modeling (FEM), offer a linear and extended frequency response from 0.6 to 20 kHz while reducing unwanted resonances. It incorporates a copper shorting cap to minimize harmonic distortion and provide a more linear impedance response. The CD-314Fe is designed around a FEM-optimized ceramic magnetic circuit, providing a balanced combination of weight, magnetic strength, and durability. Its proprietary metal alloy phase plug enhances acoustic performance, and the rugged aluminum cover protects internal components. Physically, the unit measures 165 mm in diameter and 69.6 mm in depth, with mounting via four M6 threaded holes spaced 90º apart on a 101.6 mm circle. At 5.4 kg, it is heavier than neodymium-based alternatives but offers robust performance ideal for touring systems, large-format arrays, or high-end installations demanding both power and fidelity.
