      The AuraSound AST-2B-4 Pro Bass Shaker—also known as a butt shaker, or tactile transducer—works on the principle that low bass is mostly felt and not heard. Experience earth-shaking bass from all of your media: music, computer, movies, or video games. The AuraSound Pro Bass Shaker was designed originally for automotive applications in order to produce big car subwoofer bass without taking up valuable space in the vehicle's trunk.       FAQ about the Aurasound AST-2B-4 bass shaker

      What is the difference between the AST-2B-4 and the Dayton Audio BST-1?

      There are many similarities between the Dayton Audio BST-1 and the AuraSound AST-2B-4 Pro. Still, there are a few minor differences (such as the size of the binding posts). The main difference is that the AST-2B-4 Pro performs a bit better at lower frequencies than the BST-1 per watt. The AST-2B-4 Pro is more sensitive.

       

      How do I connect 2 shakers to my receiver?

      This type of transducer is not really designed to work directly through an amplifier, we usually recommend using a dedicated subwoofer amplifier, for example the Dayton Audio APA150 could fulfil that need. Connect your two shakers in series and connect them to the APA150 in bridge mode with the low-pass filter switched on.

       

      Is the AuraSound AST-2B-4 frequency linear?

      It depends on the surface it is mounted on, but any shaker will have a resonance peak in free air, not mounted. So it would not be perfectly linear.
